Horetown House, Inside a Beautiful Irish Manor House Wedding
A Timeless Manor House Wedding in Ireland
On a beautiful late-summer day in 2025, I had the pleasure of photographing an elegant, relaxed wedding at Horetown House in Wexford, Ireland.

Andi and Gerard travelled all the way from Australia to celebrate their wedding at the beautiful Horetown House in Wexford, Ireland. Andi, originally from the United States, was joined by family and friends who flew in from across the world — turning the day into a warm, joyful reunion that blended Irish charm with an international atmosphere.
Horetown House was the perfect backdrop for their celebration. Set among the rolling countryside, the manor carries a timeless elegance, and its interiors are filled with character, soft light and a sense of intimate luxury. Their ceremony and reception took place inside the house, creating a cosy, refined atmosphere that suited their style beautifully. The whole day felt relaxed yet sophisticated — effortless, full of laughter, and completely focused on the people who mattered most to them.
From the moment I arrived, the energy was nothing but smiles. There was no rush, no stress, just genuine excitement and connection. That’s why I love photographing weddings like this: days where everyone feels at ease, where moments unfold naturally, and where the emotion in the room tells the story better than anything staged ever could.
While most of the coverage was photographed digitally, I also captured parts of the day on 35mm analogue film, shooting on Kodak Portra 400. Film has a softness, depth and nostalgic quality that digital can’t fully replicate — and it suited the tone of Andi and Gerard’s wedding perfectly. The grain, the colours, the gentle highlights… all of it added a beautiful layer of storytelling to their gallery.
Analogue film photography is something I’ve begun offering to couples who want their wedding photos to feel truly timeless, with that authentic, imperfect-in-the-best-way film aesthetic. If you're planning a destination wedding in Ireland — especially if you're coming from the US or abroad — and you love the idea of mixing digital with film, I’d love to chat about how we can include this in your wedding coverage.
Andi and Gerard’s day was a perfect example of what an Irish manor house wedding can be: heartfelt, elegant, meaningful and effortlessly joyful. A celebration of family, travel, and love — all coming together in one beautiful place.
